HISTORY OF DUMFRIES VILLA BED AND BREAKFAST

33 Lovers Walk, Dumfries was built in 1862. The year when the last woman (Mary Timney) was publicly hanged in Dumfries.

The house is part of Dunbar Terrace and may well be named after local poet David Dunbar who in one of his addresses called Dumfries "Queen of the South" and this became synonymous with the town
