The Dumfries
and County Golf Club is a privately
owned 18 hole parkland course situated just over
a mile from Dumfries Villa bed and breakfast. The
course is bordered on one side by the river Nith
and offers spectacular views of the Nith valley and
surrounding countryside. Set in eighty-nine acres,
it requires a high degree of course management to
achieve a par of 69. Dumfries and County Golf Club
have recently added a 3 minute video of the course County
Ariel View (38 Mb) recorded from
a helicopter.
Dumfries
and Galloway Golf Club have an
excellent range of facilities and is a welcoming
club. Visitors to the course are welcome on most
days although on days where competitions are being
played there will be limited times available. Alternatively,
if you have a verified handicap, you might like to consider
entering one of our open competitions. Tee-off times are
available daily from 9.30 am to 11.30 am for morning rounds
and from 1.30 pm to 3.00 pm for the afternoon
The
Pines Golf centre is a golf course
and driving range situated in the north of the town,
less than two miles from Dumfries Vila. The par 68
Golf Course is open to all players and we regularly
host golfing parties/groups from all over Britain.
We have a range of golf packages on offer including
food and drink. Our fully floodlit 18-bay driving range
is ideal for honing your game.
Crichton Golf Club is a wooded parkland course located
directly opposite Dumfries & Galloway
Hospital about one mile outside Dumfries on the Bankend
Road. The Clubhouse has a restaurant and bar. A function
room is available for private parties, club and society
meetings. Group bookings and visitors are welcome but restrictIons
apply depending on Club competitions
